2020 Census at a Glance

The U.S. Census Bureau is the federal government's largest statistical agency.  The U.S. Constitution requires that each decade the government takes a count or a census of America's population.  The Census provides vital information for your and our community.

Households will start to receive official Census Bureau mail with detailed information on how to respond to the 2020 census online, by phone or by mail by mid March.

The official start date of the Census is April 1, 2020.  Census workers will begin visiting college campuses, people living in senior centers and others who live among large groups of people.  If you would like to be a census worker, check out 2020census.gov.

Please make sure if you do have a census worker stop at your home, you check for proper identification.  All information is kept confidential and safe.  If you have further questions, please visit: 2020census.gov.
