The City of Asbury, IA is accepting applications for the position of a Community Compliance Officer. This is a full-time position and the pay range is $22-$30/hr.

Responsibilities include: providing excellent customer service, coordinates all facets of zoning enforcement, permitting activities and code enforcement.   Requires two or years or more of work history in a municipal environment with experience in enforcement of applicable city codes. An Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field is required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Coordinates all facets of zoning enforcement, permitting and nuisance abatement.  Provides information to person with inquiries for assistance with code enforcement and permit related matters.   Assist front desk with cash receipts, park reservations and other customer related matters.

 OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Customer service, cash handling, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, must be able to interact with the public and resolve issues. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, knowledge of financial software and permitting software as well as other office equipment is a plus. 

 Successful completion of a background check and a valid Driver’s license are required prior to being employed.
